SHARING HOPE for UKRAINE
at St. James Episcopal Church
Don't miss this special presentation and collaboration between Saint James and the Taos Jewish Center showcasing the humanitarian work that our visitor Andrea Esty has done in Ukraine over the last few years.
Moved by the heartbreaking news reports from Ukraine, Andrea Esty traveled to Poland in 2022 to volunteer with World Central Kitchen, helping feed thousands of frightened and exhausted Ukrainians fleeing across the border. She continued her humanitarian work and now serves as Vice President of Ukrainian Children Inc., providing aid to families living near Ukraine’s front lines.
Andrea recently returned from frontline cities, where she met with teams installing an innovative new window system developed through a collaboration with a brilliant young Cambridge University student. These protective windows help make homes shattered by Russian attacks warm, safe, and livable again. Andrea will share the struggles and courage of the installation teams, along with the heartbreaking reality of the thousands of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia. Join her for a compassionate, firsthand account of the human cost of this war — and the extraordinary resilience of the Ukrainian people.
