This year has been one of wrestling as we search for wholeness and inner peace in a time of turbulence and travail. . Our Torah portion, V’YISHLACH has Jacob facing his own inner demons, only to be overtaken by the violence of his sons in the “Affair of Dina” Don’t miss this discussion that is so relevant to our own times!

Peace Chanukah

5:30-7pm at St. James Episcopal Church (Live Stream available)

A Taos Tradition led by B’nai Shalom Chavurah - Telling of the Chanukah story, lighting menorahs, songs, and words of peace and hope from many different religious leaders — Buddhist, Catholic Mennonite, Muslim, Hindu, Taos Pueblo, Quaker, and Religious Science so far. There is no charge, but people are asked to bring nonperishable foods which we give to our local food pantries and the Homeless Shelter.  All are welcome.

What is the “real” meaning of the Chanukah miracle? Join us as we study classic texts on Chanukah, and find inspiration in the Torah portion, MIKETZ, which recounts the miracle of Joseph’s release from a prison of darkness.
