MEDICAL DEBT RELIEF PROGRAM

We have the opportunity again to help those less fortunate in our community. This is the 7th year that the community has held a Medical Debt Relief Program.

People who cannot afford to pay their bills to Holy Cross Hospital can have their debts “erased” because of the generosity of people like us.  The Jewish Community, through B’nai Shalom Havurah, is one of 10 faith communities that participates in this event, as do many individuals. 

If you send a check to B’nai Shalom Havurah, 810 Dillon Lane, Taos, NM  87571 and receive a receipt for your tax deductible contribution, and someone’s hospital bill will be paid to the Hospital at $.08 on the dollar and the patient will be relieved of that debt.

DREAMTREE HOMELESS OUTREACH

The street outreach workers from DreamTree request specifically the following items for people who are homeless:

Body Wipes (Ready Bath) - small packs

Toothpaste, travel size

Hand Sanitizer, travel size

Hand warmers, single use packs (like HotHands)

We accept donations at our office at 708 Felicidad Lane (street behind Albertsons) Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm. Or order online and ship directly to us. Thank you all for your kindness and generosity to our community.
