    10:00am LIVE at TJC

(Come early for lox and bagels!)

Our torah portion Emor reminds us (Leviticus 23:11) that “You are to count until after the day after the seventh week-fifty days, when you shall bring an offering of new grain to the Lord.” This is the reason that we “count the Omer”, the period between Passover and Shavuot, as prepare to receive the Torah at Sinai once again. Please join us for an in- depth discussion of this period of personal transformation.

  • Shabbat Zoom Friday 5/31

Join us on zoom for a quiet, meditative shabbat as we continue our journey towards Sinai. We will light candles, bless bread and wine, and recount our journeys as we celebrate together.

  • Torah Study Zoom Saturday 6/1

    10:00am

With the Torah portions B’Har and B’hukkotai, we complete the Book of Leviticus. B’Har brings hope of sabbaticals and juilee, a time when slaves were set free, and the need to provide the land with its own Shabbat. B’hukkotai brings a promise of blessings and peace, but only if the Israelites follow God’s injunctions. If not, the consequences are dire indeed. Relevant? Let’s discuss!

  • Nature Israel Saturday 6/1

3:00pm. In person at the TJC!

Please join us for a lovely afternoon with our former TJC Rabbi Paul Citrin. Rabbi Paul Citrin is a member of the national board of “Nature Israel.” It was formerly called “The American Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel.” It is a fabulous organization which is in it’s 70th year of existence. Among the things that Nature Israel does is to protect through field work and lobbying for plant and animal species, water resources, build hiking trails and operate about ten field schools in Israel. They have been very successful in their work over the decades.

More Information will be available soon.
