A Preparation for the High Holidays with Rabbi Min Kantrowitz
This workshop is designed to deepen our preparations for the turning of the year, for returning to our most true selves, to get ready to stand before the Holy One.
It assumes that attendees are committed to doing deep inner work in preparation for renewal and transformation. We will study text, chant and meditate, revising the year that is about to depart and developing our kavanot (intentions) for the year to come.
Rabbi Min Kantrowitz serves as a Rabbi for the Jewish Family Services and travels throughout New Mexico. She is the author of Counting the Omer: A Kabbalistic Meditation Guide" an innovative meditation guide published by Gaon Books of Santa Fe that follows Kabbalistic teachings day by day, giving the reader suggestions for each of the forty-nine days of meditation in the period of the Omer.
As the Director of the Jewish Community Chaplaincy Program of Jewish Family Service of New Mexico, Rabbi Kantrowitz provides spiritual support and pastoral care services to the Jewish community in the state. She is a sought after speaker and teacher, having conducted services, workshops and lectures across the United States and Europe.
Rabbi Kantrowitz is a very warm, caring rabbi whose teachings come from the heart and go to the heart. We are fortunate to have her come again this year to share her teachings with us. The workshop will take place on Sunday August 22nd from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Suggested donation: $10 ($7.00 members).
